I have noticed this a lot on organic apples and it keeps me from wanting to buy them because it looks like something that has been put on them and then cleaned off. Anyone know what it is?

I buy organic whenever it is available and the price is right. I’ve noticed that organic food is stronger tasting - for example, an organic apple is more “appley”, mushrooms are more mushroomy, even organic oatmeal tastes more oatmealy. The flavours are just much more intense than regular produce, and are even sometimes quite different (for example, organic apples seem to have a different taste than regular apple, as well as having a stronger flavour).

Does anyone know why?

We dont have lots of money but I would like to start eating more organic food. I already eat organic apples, organic mixed greens and organic peanut butter. What are the BEST foods to choose to eat organic. I heard milk and meat are good ones. Any others? I dont plan on eating everything organic but choosing the ones that are best bang for your buck.

I bought granny smith organic apples two days ago and they’re starting to turn brown already! Is this normal for organic fruits and how can I keep them fresher, longer?

Thank you!

I read the ingredients of the Earth’s best organic baby food and it said it was just organic apples and vitamin C. So what is the difference between this and making your own? It had no preservatives and none of the other things put in regular baby food. I’m torn in my deicision of which to do and I really don’t see what is so bad about giving jarred if it’s organic???
