I understand that organic milk does not contain synthetic hormones, added antibiotics and are free from chemicals such as pesticides, etc. But how does oraganic milk differ in chemical composition from conventional milk. I have read that organic milk has higher levels of vitamins and omega-3. What I am trying to understand is how can you TEST (in lab) whether milk is organically or conventionally derived? When I used to buy regular milk it always had an expiration date with in about 2 weeks of the date I purchased it. Now I buy only organic milk and the milk in my fridge right now doesn’t expire until mid December. I’m not complaining, just curious.
Can anyone tell me why?
